Widely regarded as Uruguay's top wine (from Uruguay's top winery), this is a stunner.  A nose you want to sniff forever - full of blackberry, plum, liquorice and spice - leads you into a full yet balanced palate which showcases that lovely fresh dark fruit, with some lighter red notes.  It's silky and simptuous with hints of chocolate, tobacco, herbs, toast, cinnamon and mocha.  The tannins are velvety and the acidity well balanced - meaning it's lovely in the mouth - then the finish lasts for well over a minute.  The whole Garzon portfolio is impressive, but this is the crowning glory.  It should age well too.
