Produced from the 15 hectare property, Bruno Rocca has been making sublime wines since he took over from his father in 1978. This vineyard is in the cru of Rabaja and consists of vines 50-60 years old. Rocca's wines have a wonderful balance of power and finesse and are built for the long haul. Intensely perfumed with notes of red cherry, rose petal and violets, the wine is sumptuous and silky on the palate with darker cherry and raspberry to the fore along with subtle notes of leather, bitter chocolate, violets and savoury herbs. Well structured with good acidity and broad tannins, this is long, balanced and harmonious and will get even better with time in bottle.
