One of Priorat's most sought after wines, this is the second wine of the iconic Clos Erasmus, produced from younger vines that will, one day, end up in the top wine.  But it is a thing of beauty in itself, aged for 16-18 months in a combination of vessels (large wooden and concrete vats as well as smaller barrels and amphorae).  Full of intense aromas of fresh blackberries, cherries, licorice and spice.  Densely concentrated on the palate with layers of dark fruit, spice, licorice, cedar, tobacco and vanilla, this is all wrapped up in silky tannins and a good backbone of acidity.  Very energetic and pure with huge ageing potential, an absolutely stunner of a wine.
