I really hope we sell lots of this wine but I'm not sure given that Riesling is always a bit of a hard sell.  Jo is a classic case in point.  Every time I serve a Riesling, she sort of groans.  But by the time she's halfway through the first glass, she's asking for a top up.  Framingham's F-Series is an alternative approach to their normal winemaking, allowing a bit of experimentation and innovation, and leading to some of Marlborough's most exciting wines.  The Riesling is produced from organically grown grapes from 40 year old vines and it's a stunning bottle of wine with more than a nod to the Old World (NZ meets Alsace).  Rich and delicious, balanced and aromatic, long and harmonious, fresh lemon and lime, apple, mandarin and peach jump out of the glass at you initially.  The palate is vibrant with bright fruit that's got real depth of flavour and texture to it and is wonderfully balanced.  You think it's off dry but technically it's dry and finishes as such, although the delicious green fruited finish lasts for an age.  It develops in the glass as you drink with different aromas and flavours popping out every now and again - classic petroleum, apricot, honey, marmalade - in fact, lots and lots going on.  You need to try yourself to see what the fuss is all about.
