Mourvedre, Grenache, Syrah & Counoise / 14.5% / certified biodynamic

I wasn't convinced I was going to enjoy this wine.  Part owned by legendary Rhone producer, Chateau de Beaucastel, I often find the Beaucastel wines too stewed for my palate (sorry!).  I feared this might be the same.  But how wrong I was.  Certified organic (in 2020, Tablas Creek became the first winery to achieve Regenerative Organic Certification), my tasting note says "excellent, classy wine, pure and balanced".  Concise, I call it.  To expand a little, you get a perfect mix of ripe black fruit from the Mourvedre, lifted red fruit from Grenache, then spice and juiciness from the Syrah.  I'm not sure what the 5% Counoise adds but let's call it exotic mystery.  I really like wines when they have both black and red fruits.  Mix that with liquorice, chocolate, game, leather and tobacco, silky tannins, good acidity and great length, and you've got a wine that deserves a place on any wine lovers table.  It's certainly welcome at mine any day.
