One of our favourite wines ever, we were advised years ago by Mr Forrester himself not to drink the FMC too young.  Ken reckons that around 10 years of age is when the FMC is at its best.  The problem we have is that we've always said that if a wine tastes good, then drink it.  And, damn, the FMC tastes good as soon as it's released.  This vintage is packed with apricots, lemon curd, mango, honey and pineapple along with crisp acidity and a subtle creaminess on the finish.  It really sings on the palate, balanced, harmonious and moreish and long with intensity and depth.  I'm not sure my words do such a wine justice.  All I can say is to enjoy it when young and try to keep a bottle or two to discover its evolution (we have managed to keep a couple of vintages for ten years and Ken is correct).
