Given the price of Burgundy these days, more people are catching on to the very fine wines that the Jura produces - although this is forcing the price of these small production stunners up as well.  Domaine Rolet started in 1942 and is known for owning some of the best old vineyards in the region.  They've recently converted to organic viticulture and the dynamic team in charge of the domaine are balancing modern methods with the traditional as they look to produce world class wines.  Their Arbois Chardonnay is made in a Burgundian style, rather than the oxidative approach, and it's a beautifully crisp, mineral driven wine with a subtly buttery texture.  Notes of apple, stone fruit, citrus and flint abound, and the wine is medium bodied with vibrant acidity, great balance and a long finish.  In a nutshell, a top quality wine and lovely to drink.
