One of Australia's great wines, this is a real beauty from the iconic Henschke family.  Whilst Hill of Grace is Henschke's top wine, I believe that Mount Edelstone offers you more bang for your buck and, in many ways, is the smarter buy these days.  Not that I ever refuse Hill of Grace when I'm offered it!  This is a stunner with a wonderful nose of blackberry, plum, blueberry, sweet spice, pepper, herbs and toasty oak.  There's loads going on with subtle nuances each time you take a sniff.  This complex array of flavours continues on the palate with silky blackberry, mulberry and plum fruit, clove, black pepper, bay leaf, vanilla, dark chocolate and olive.  Very fine grained tannins, good acidity and well structured, with an immense length of finish and a lovely freshness to it.  Beautifully balanced, harmonious, complex, it really is a complete wine.  You can drink now but it will evolve wonderfully over the next 15-20 years.  Yum.
