This is a new project from Nick Farr (of By Farr fame), situated near the small town of Irrewarra, 150kms west of Melbourne.  It's a relatively cool climate site with quite high rainfall, so the soils remain moist for much of the year, giving the wines a distinctive cool climate profile.  Only three hectares are planted - two to Pinot Noir and one to Chardonnay. 

There are an array of citrus aromas with subtle toasty notes on the nose and, on the palate, the wine has lovely notes of nectarine, citrus and grapefruit, with a firm backbone of acidity and a fine mineral edge.  Long, balanced and harmonious, it's as classy as expected.  Given Nick's mastery of both varieties at By Farr, this is a producer to watch with great interest.
