The sad and shocking death of Stephane Moreau in 2016 robbed the winemaking world of an undoubted star.  Stephane was hugely influenced by Vincent Dauvissat and the domaine, now run very capably by his wife, Virginie, has continued with the same high quality ethos - working organically, producing first class fruit, and winemaking that shows total care and precision.  The wines are outstanding, full of vibrant character, purity, complexity and real depth.

The Forets, from a two hectare plot, has a beautiful nose with notes of baked apples and pears, peach, citrus and cream.  The attack is fresh and lively with white stone fruit, citrus, minerals and a sea shell finish with a squeeze of lemon.  Really well balanced and textural in the mouth, complex, long, crisp and harmonious, it's a thoroughly classy wine.  Excellent.
