From one of the Ribera's finest producers, the Reserva is a powerful but balanced beauty of a wine. Having spent 18 months in French oak, it's a richer, more structured wine than their Crianza but still has that hallmark Capellanes lifted aromatic nature. Black cherry, cassis and plum abound with vanilla, cocoa, clove and liquorice hints in the background. Glossy, elegant and balanced with ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a finish that lasts longer than a Chelsea manager. Decant for an hour or two if drinking young (lovely now) or squirrel a few bottles away in your cellar and drink over the next decade.
