This wine is part of a new project involving wine importer Ben Henshaw, wine writer Jamie Goode, Zalto glass importer Daniel Primack, and esteemed winemaker Eulogio Pomares. Their focus is on terroir driven wines from various regions and this Albarino is produced from two excellent sites near to the Atlantic in Northern Spain. You can taste the sea influence in the wine - it has a lovely saline twang that sits perfectly alongside the peach and citrus fruit. It's really very complex and moreish, with a wonderfully textured mouth feel (almost creamy), crisp acidity, minerality and terrific length. A different type of Albarino with more texture and depth of flavour than most and an impressive introduction to this exciting collaboration. My sort of wine.
