One of Italy's flagship wines from the stunning Isole e Olena estate in the heart of Tuscany, Cepparello is 100% Sangiovese produced from the best vineyard plots. Whilst it's always advisable to cellar this wine for a few years to appreciate it fully, currently the nose shows lovely cherry and wild berry fruit with hints of spice. On the palate, the wine is supple and silky with fresh red berry and black cherry, tea leaf, tobacco, clove spice and savoury, earthy notes. It's very fine already, soft and juicy, but with plenty of structure and decent acidity to assist the ageing process, and a decent length of finish. A superb wine and it's just going to get better and better.
