This beautiful wine is from a tiny 4 hectare estate situated in the heart of Barolo's "golden mile". It was a small husband and wife operation but has recently been sold to the Vajra family (who make exceptional wines themselves). The wine is a blend of three international varieties along with the local Nascetta and we first came across it in a restaurant in Manchester, being impressed enough to seek it out. Vibrant on the nose with layers of lemon, lime, peach and mint, the palate is crisp and minerally with good depth of fruit (peach, lemon, apricot & mango) and a long finish with a subtly salty tang. Excellent and brilliant value for the wine quality.
