We're big fans of wines from Australia's Mornington Peninsula as we find that the Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from the region are generally excellent. And Kooyong's Faultline Chardonnay is one of our favourites. It's unashamedly New World with richness, depth and power but this is balanced by crisp acidity, minerality and freshness, making it delicious to drink. Toasty oak, flint and citrus dominate the nose but the palate is even more complex revealing notes of lemon, peach, nectarine, pineapple, quince and toasty oak. The mineral edge and the bracing acidity keep everything balanced and the length of the finish is amazing. It's a cracker and a wine we love. Highly recommended.
