Sugrue's #ZODO is their take on zero dosage fizz, which I have to say, I often shy from as I find it a bit too bracing.  In Sugrue's case, autolysis is required to add to the weight and mouthfeel and to give some impression of sweetness.  This is a multi vintage blend using 2014 as the base, disgorged with reserve wine from the 2009 and 2011 vintages.  And whilst it is bone dry, there is plenty going on to captivate your senses.  Green apples and brioche on the nose lead to a clean, crisp palate with hints of lemon, apple tart, honey and sea shells.  Beautifully weighted with the trademark acidity, purity and minerals as well as an astonishing length on the finish, this is the bottle to drink if you're having shellfish for dinner.  It will continue to develop in bottle as well for a decade or more.  Top stuff.
