The Viola family has always had a strong bond with wine, indigenous grape varieties and terroir. Alessandro's father was a winegrower and, post his wine studies and travelling around the globe gaining experience, Alessandro returned home to focus on the things he truly loves. We've only just discovered his wines but we love the style. This blend of native varieties showcases lovely aromas and flavours of spicy cherry, blackberry, plum, pepper, bay leaf, violets, earth and minerals. Like his other wines, there is a wonderful freshness here with good acidity, very fine tannins, complexity, balance and length. It's truly lovely both on the nose and silky and textural on the palate. A beautiful wine from a winemaker at the top of his game.
