This is a seriously good wine from a cult producer - and a seriously high quality to price ratio. It's got lots of lovely dark Ribera fruit, sweet oak and spice but is so lifted and aromatic that it is wonderfully balanced and elegant. Blackcurrants, blackberries, cherries and blueberries dominate the nose and palate along with spice, vanilla, liquorice and pepper, with velvety tannins, bright acidity, harmony and great length. It drinks beautifully now but would cellar comfortably for 5-10 years, making it a real bargain. If top quality reds are your thing, you ought to be treating yourself to some of this.
