This is a small production Napa Cabernet that we won't sell loads of but it's too good not to list. The winemaker, Diana Snowden, and her husband Jeremy Seysses (who happens to be the winemaker at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy), split their time between the two vineyards. The Brothers Cabernet, from a 2 acre block, is not a blockbuster Napa Cabernet, it's far more nuanced than that with more than a nod towards the Old World. 98% Cabernet Sauvignon with 2% Petit Verdot, fully organic, it's a cashmere like wine full of cassis, cherry and damson, with cigar box, subtle sweet spice, espresso and fine toasty oak. The tannins are silky smooth, acidity is fresh, it's all harmonious and integrated and the finish lasts for well over a minute. It is outstanding and, whilst not cheap, looks like decent value to me compared to a lot of other Napa Cabs!
