Just arrived, the first rose from the brilliant Dermot Sugrue and a limited edition release of just 4500 bottles and 200 magnums. Produced from perfectly ripened grapes from Jenkyn vineyard, this is a seriously good wine rather than a simple summer quaffer. Precise, crisp and balanced with a real depth of flavour showcasing summer berry fruits, toasted brioche, subtle spice and hints of rose petal, this drinks superbly now but will develop further in bottle. Yet another outstanding offering from Britain's top winemaker and, given the limited production of these wines, worth grabbing yourself a few bottles while you can.
