Owned by the De Marchi family, of Isole e Olena, this is a 10 hectare estate based in the small town of Lessona.  Since the 1970s it has been Paolo De Marchi's dream to revitalise the estate and, with the help of his son, Luca, they are achieving remarkable things.

This is Nebbiolo made in a Burgundian style - light in colour but with underlying power, intensity and complexity.  Packed with red berries and cherries, sweet spice, leather, tar, minerals and herbs, there's loads going on on both the nose and palate.  Very refined with fresh acidity and slightly grippy tannins, decant for a few hours if drinking now or wait another few years to fully unfurl its beauty.  A classic in the making.
