Rafael Palacios is one of Spain's winemaking stars, producing stunning wines from old vine parcels of Godello. His Louro is a brilliant wine that shows bright notes of ripe pear, peach, rhubarb and citrus with hints of apple blossom and flint. On the palate, there's laser sharp acidity and vibrant fruit with a bit of lees-y texture and a saline note on the finish. Wonderfully balanced with peach, pear and minerals to the fore, it's crisp, fresh and finishes long. Truly lovely now and will gain complexity with more bottle age. Look out for their other wines too, although they're always difficult to get hold of.
