We're big fans of Janasse's delicious Viognier and it's a wine that always seems to be well received. It's light enough to be enjoyed on its own but with enough depth of flavour to pair with any number of dishes. On the nose, there are inviting notes of peach, citrus, honey and subtle cream and these notes continue onto the palate along with minerals, apricot, nectarine and straw. The acidity is not high but just about enough and there's good weight on the palate. Long and harmonious, we have found with previous vintages that a year or two in bottle makes the wine even more delicious than it is now.
