Montes are larger than most of the producers we deal with but we've included a couple of their wines simply because they represent brilliant value whilst still ticking our sustainability box.  This is a case in point, a wine rated highly by both critics and the general public alike, yet £15.  The quality/price ratio is outstanding.  90% Carmenere and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is packed with bright brambly dark fruit along with tobacco, herbs and sweet spice.  It's juicy and fresh with good acidity and a bit of structure which makes you realise you're getting something a bit higher quality than you initially may realise.  Long and satisfying, if you haven't tried yet then we highly recommend.
