A stunning wine from Domaine Barge, now under the stewardship of Gille's son, Julien. Their 6 hectares of organic vineyards are amongst the best sites in this historic region and the vines range from 40-60 years old, giving low yields with great concentration. The wine has everything - fresh ripe black fruit, structure, spice, minerals, subtle power, elegance, complexity and length. The tannins are polished, the acidity juicy and it really is simply a stunner. It's tempting to drink early as it's delicious but this will develop wonderfully in bottle over the next two decades.
