I think of all the Ports, 20 year old Tawny is probably my favourite. It's got both the fruit profile of younger vintage port but with those nutty, dried fruit characters of something with decent age.  This is a lovely example from Sandeman, rich tawny in colour with notes of dried fruit, honey, roasted nuts and sweet spice.  A wine of great elegance, there's a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity on the palate and the wine gains complexity in the glass, developing those terrific Christmas cake flavours, nutmeg, vanilla and hazelnuts.  It's making my mouth water just thinking about it.
